What always fascinates me is to observe how every person is connected and being part of many different systems: family, work, friends, school, the list can go on. Being social creatures we are part of a complex universe that we create around us. As we build this social net around us, we are being affected and in turn affect people around us. Sometimes it goes in the direction that we were planning to, sometimes it does not. In the latter case, this is where I see my role as a therapist to help figure out a better way to communicate, to relate, to co-exist. 

My journey as a psychotherapist formally started at Geneva State University in Switzerland and brought me to the United States to complete my Master’s and Doctoral degrees. Since then I had worked in a variety of clinical settings providing individual, couple, and family therapy. I had an opportunity to live and work in five different countries and provide therapy in three languages (English, French, and Russian). Being a University professor and a researcher, I have multiple opportunities to enhance my skills and discover best practices.
